Time is slipping...

Shadow of Time

Model // @abrahamnegusse

This concept circling around time has been something I have been thinking about since early January and I’m happy to finally present this project. It’s actually ironic how I let time pass before I finally shot this.

Before reading my interpretation of the photos below, I ask that you take a second look, then comment on what you think/feel about these images.

I’m sure everyone can agree that time is fleeting. It’s a concept that can be fluid one minute, but long and drawn out the next. A simple work day with hours of 9-5 can feel like it lasts forever when you’re in the office, although by the same token 5 years of your life can be drained away at a company in an instant.

My goal in shooting these images was to create a visual that represents how harsh reality is to have time literally slipping out of your hands. When someone dedicates all of their time to a field that they have no desire to be in, what is there to look forward to? Just a white void with harsh shadows.

All in all, maybe I’m just reaching this is what I came up with and the idea didn’t differ much after months of thinking about it. Maybe I’ll make a happier version of this shoot for pt. 2! If you made it this far throw an hourglass in the comments.

Also huge thanks to my Girlfriend for pushing me to plan this shoot and assisting me on set!
